As an Intern in Sustainability Innovation, you will contribute to advancing Ypsomed’s sustainability ambitions by supporting initiatives that drive circularity, ecodesign, and sustainability intelligence. In this one-year internship, you will gather and analyze insights, assist in the implementation of our Ecodesign Guideline, and help translate innovation and environmental insights into actionable strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and healthcare technology.

Your main tasks
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of Sustainability Intelligence activities, including customer, pharma supply chain players and competitor profiling, trend monitoring, and ecosystem scanning with a clear sustainability focus
- Develop and pilot a structure for monitoring regulatory developments related to sustainability (e.g. materials, packaging, supply chain, circular economy)
- Support the further development and rollout of Ypsomed’s Ecodesign Guideline, including assisting project teams in applying ecodesign principles to new and ongoing developments
- Contribute to ongoing circularity initiatives, including research, preparation of materials, and support for internal / external stakeholder exchanges (non-operational, project-focused)
- Provide ad-hoc support across Sustainability Innovation projects
Your profile
- Academic background in Sustainability, Innovation, Business, or related fields
- First experience or strong interest in the healthcare, medtech, or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to work in a structured, detail-oriented manner
- Interest or familiarity with sustainability-related regulatory topics is an advantage
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to explore new topic areas independently
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across functions and integrating diverse perspectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus
