We are looking for a motivated and committed Contract Manufacturing Site Manager for our client, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. based in Kaiseraugst, for a 12 month assignment with the option to extend.
Within PTDS Global Clinical Supply Chain Management, the Production Enablement function ensures seamless, on-time, and cost/quality optimized packaging operations for Roche's clinical trials. The Global CMO Clinical Packaging Management team oversees outsourced manufacturing. Contract Manufacturing Site Managers collaborate with worldwide CMOs, Procurement, Clinical Planning, and Quality to negotiate supply contracts and ensure optimal product delivery. They also drive the implementation of new systems and processes to support CMO production and Roche's Pharma Vision of delivering 20 transformative medicines by 2029.
Tasks
- Organize and oversee the outsourced clinical packaging and device assembly, ensuring timely delivery while meeting cost and quality goals
- Partner with Procurement and key stakeholders to prepare RFPs/SOWs, negotiate supply agreements, and select vendors for outsourced clinical packaging
- Proactively manage CMO project onboarding, timelines, and delivery performance. You'll define, track, and report CMO team KPIs, ensuring successful network supply outcomes
- Lead all Supplier Relationship Management activities with CMO partners, ensuring their capability and capacity for predictable, on-time delivery
- Own the budgeting process for CMO project variable costs. This includes creating purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices, and managing orders in our ERP system
- Actively support leadership in defining outsourced supply strategies for complex or non-standard product supply chains
- Partner with internal teams and upstream functions to establish team scope, define roles, and ensure effective support models, representing the CMO function in our CD&OP Process
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical, business, or supply chain field.
- 8+ years in pharma industry, supply chain, or manufacturing, with a strong preference for clinical drug manufacturing or clinical supply chain experience.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Demonstrated skills in project planning and project management, with the ability to lead teams and projects from initiation to delivery.
- Solid understanding of the pharma industry supply chain, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply cross-functional business expertise.
- cultural awareness for global collaboration, with excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal). Basic German is beneficial.
- Proven track record of self-reliance in making sound decisions, operating independently, and setting priorities.
