In this role, you take responsibility for managing and further developing the ERP business applications and ensure that they optimally support the operational and strategic business processes. You analyse requirements from the specialist departments, translate them into clearly structured ERP solutions, and manage their implementation throughout the entire lifecycle. You coordinate internal and external stakeholders, prioritise change and improvement needs, and ensure efficient release and change planning. Additionally, you ensure stable operation, incident and problem management, and continuous optimisation of existing ERP processes. Through your expertise in the ERP environment, you significantly contribute to advancing digitalisation projects and achieving high benefits from the business applications.
Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for the stable, secure, and economical operation of the ERP system as well as other central business applications and interfaces and further develop their interaction
- In this role, you manage configurations, data, users, roles, permissions, workflows, and reports
- As Business Application Manager ERP, you take on licence management and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and operational requirements
- You participate in application projects, independently lead sub-projects, and coordinate requirements and solutions with all involved parties
- In this role, you train users, maintain documentation, and ensure sustainable knowledge transfer
- As Business Application Manager ERP, you create and maintain application-related extensions such as EDI interfaces, reports, scripts, and masks and take on additional business applications by agreement
Qualifications:
- You have training or further education in computer science, business informatics, application development, or a comparable field, or equivalent practical experience in the application environment
- You have practical experience in supporting an ERP system or comparable business applications
- You understand business processes, capture requirements in a structured manner, and translate them into pragmatic technical solutions
- You work confidently with data queries, reporting, or automation, e.g. with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power Query, or OLAP
- You are familiar with a typical application stack including Windows Server, databases, web servers, and basic network contexts and can systematically identify dependencies and errors
- You work independently, systematically, and responsibly, communicate confidently with various stakeholders, and have very good German and good English skills as well as high initiative and willingness to learn
