About the job
We are looking for committed, experienced and creative journalistic Bernese with a start-up groove who want to passionately contribute to the expansion of an online platform for the entire canton.Your area of responsibility
– You are jointly responsible for keeping the news platform up to date, moderate the site and push the most important news from the canton and the federal city
– You prepare your own contributions of cantonal interest – which can also appear in the leading newspaper of the Seeland region, the Bieler Tagblatt. You conduct or transcribe interviews and adapt press releases
– You manage the social media channels and engage with the community
– At the convergent newsdesk, you liaise with the editorial teams of TeleBärn, RADIO BERN1 and the media house in Biel
– Together with colleagues from TV, radio and online, you develop the new hub like a start-up
Your ideal profile
– You have experience in journalism and in preparing journalistic formats suitable for the channel
– You are independent, like to take responsibility, show enthusiasm and creativity
– You are accustomed to working weekends
– You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and like the challenges of a company undergoing transformation from a local to a cantonal media house
– You are curious, have journalistic instinct and a good command of language
– You are a news junkie, enjoy watching TeleBärn, listening to RADIO BERN1 and are active on various social media platforms
– You know the canton of Bern and are interested in the people who live and work here
– You share our commitment to a vibrant media diversity and the preservation of bilingualism in the canton of Bern

Groupe Gassmann is the largest media house owned in Bern. At the locations Bern and Biel/Bienne, it unites the media types print, TV, radio and online under one roof and employs over 150 staff.
ajour, the only bilingual online platform in the canton, is expanding its offering as a full-fledged alternative in the Bern media market and extending its area of activity to the federal city. In addition to the previous ajour Biel, there is now also an ajour Bärn. For the new editorial hub in Bern, where TeleBärn and RADIO BERN1 are also based, we are looking for a candidate from 1 October or by arrangement.
