About the job
This apprenticeship lasts a total of three years.
With us, you will learn the profession from the ground up and be carefully prepared for your future role as a
professional driver.
By 1 December of the year the apprenticeship begins, you must have reached the age of 16.
- First, you will get to know the internal tasks such as goods handling, repair workshop, and accompany experienced drivers in their daily work.
- In parallel, you will acquire knowledge of vehicle theory. After successfully passing the vehicle theory exam, driving school and the driving test for category B will take place.
- Next follows a phase with the delivery van, where you are already allowed to carry out transports alone throughout Switzerland.
- In the internal training, you will be prepared for the VZV theory exam and subsequently attend driving school for the lorry. During this time, you will be trained by the internal driving instructor and experienced professional drivers.
- Your knowledge and skills will now be proven with the lorry driving test (category C).
- From now on, a lorry will be entrusted to you, for which you bear responsibility. It is also your duty to take care of the load and to behave exemplary towards other road users.
- The crowning achievement of the apprenticeship is the trailer training, which you complete with the trailer driving test (category CE).
