Spitex Switzerland is the national umbrella organization of Spitex cantonal associations and other organizations for professional care and support at home. It advocates at the national level for the interests of its members and local Spitex organizations with their more than 44,000 employees and provides services for the entire sector. More than 470,000 people in Switzerland receive care and support at home from Spitex annually.
Spitex Switzerland is looking for a
Head of Basic Services and Development Department, Deputy Managing Director (80% - 100%) starting 1.9.2026 or by agreement
Your area of responsibility:
- You lead and develop the Basic Services and Development Department with a team of 5 employees.
- You manage and coordinate the sector topics handled in the department, such as care quality and processes, education, care financing, (further) development of sector instruments, contract negotiations, data management, digitalization/eHealth.
- You ensure high professional quality, coherence, and future orientation and coordinate goals, priorities, and resources with the management.
- As a member of the management and deputy managing director, you work closely with the managing director and represent him/her as needed in operational and strategic matters.
- You work purposefully in internal and external national committees of the association and represent your topics in the board, working groups, and commissions.
- You maintain and expand a network within the health and care sector.
You bring with you:
- a completed university degree at the master’s level (FH/university), ideally additionally a degree in nursing
- proven leadership experience, ideally in an association or a comparable health care organization
- a cooperative and appreciative leadership style
- innovative ideas, solution orientation, and future-oriented thinking
- the ability to quickly grasp, structure, and communicate complex topics
- experience in dealing with various stakeholders and different expectations and addressing them effectively.
- interest in shaping a national umbrella organization with its office in close cooperation with the management
- strong ability to communicate content clearly, appropriately for the audience, and convincingly
- very good German and French skills with confident use in both languages
