With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical centre focused on the elderly and is spread across 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-specific issues, medical rehabilitation and palliative care.

Located in the heart of a park on the Belle-Idée estate, the Trois-Chêne Hospital welcomes people whose health condition requires hospitalisation for acute geriatric or rehabilitation care. The hospital has a geriatric emergency unit that can accommodate patients aged 75 and over, excluding life-threatening emergencies, a full radiology unit, an intermediate care unit as well as acute care and rehabilitation units.

Job Description

Do you wish to progress within the canton’s leading university medical institution? Do you want to collaborate with renowned specialists in geriatrics and internal medicine?

As Head of Clinic, with or without a specialty title, you ensure the quality of medical services in the care units within your field of expertise.

You coordinate practical activities as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the patients entrusted to you, in close collaboration with the assistant doctors.

Working in a stimulating university environment within a multidisciplinary team, you also contribute to the training of junior doctors.

You participate in clinical research activities and, according to your personal interest, you may start a quality or clinical research project with specific supervision.

Qualifications

You hold a federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).

You have obtained or are close to obtaining the FMH specialty title in general internal medicine.

If you hold an FMH specialty title, you must have a practising licence in the canton of Geneva.

For non-French-speaking candidates, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.

Experience in acute internal medicine (emergency or intermediate care) or advanced training in geriatrics is an advantage.

You are a person with good communication skills in an interdisciplinary team and with patients, dynamic, flexible and committed.
