What defines us
The Board of the Institute is the highest governing body of the Institute and consists of 8 members and a president. The members of the Board are elected by the Federal Council for four years and must disclose their interests.
Member with profound knowledge in Human Resources for the Board of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property
- Active participation in shaping the strategic development of the IPI
- Monitoring and overseeing the implementation of the Federal Council's strategic objectives
- Supervision and strategic support of the Directorate
- Issuance of the personnel and fee regulations and submission to the Federal Council for approval
- Ensuring an internal control system adapted to the IPI as well as a risk and compliance management system
- Determining the composition of the Directorate except for the Director and setting the employment conditions of all Directorate members
- Participation in two ordinary Board meetings per year
- Excellent knowledge of strategic HR management and aligning HR strategy with the conditions of the IPI and corporate objectives
- Experience in accompanying transformation and cultural development processes as well as organisational design
- Experience in developing and assessing personnel strategies, talent management, succession planning and leadership development
- Understanding of current developments in digital HR management and data-driven personnel management
- Profound knowledge of modern remuneration models and compensation systems
- Very good knowledge of the tasks and responsibilities of a strategic supervisory body and good governance in the public sector
- High social competence enabling teamwork and conflict resolution
- Very good knowledge of two official languages and good English skills
- Independence from functions or mandates that could lead to conflicts of interest with the duties as a member of the IPI Board
