Study Nurse

The Department of Clinical Research (DCR) is a joint facility of the Inselspital Bern and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern within sitem-insel. It supports patient-oriented clinical research, especially within the framework of academic study projects. The Study Nurse team of the Clinical Investigation Unit (CIU) is a central organisational unit of the DCR. The CIU provides comprehensive services for the planning, preparation, and conduct of clinical studies and makes a significant contribution to the high-quality implementation of patient-oriented research. To strengthen our CIU team, we are looking for you!

What to expect

• Independent management of clinical studies phases I-IV according to protocol and regulatory requirements
• You are the contact point for study participants, principal investigators, sponsors, monitors, and other persons involved in the study
• Planning, coordination, execution, and documentation of study visits (including sample collection and processing, administration of study medications orally, subcutaneously, and intravenously, and other examinations)
• Close collaboration with other groups of the Department of Clinical Research, study teams of Inselspital and UniBe

What you bring

• Completed training as a certified nurse HF/FH or MPA EFZ
• Experience in clinical study management is an advantage as well as sound knowledge of GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements in Switzerland is desired
• Scientific interest combined with high independence, flexibility, and resilience
• Structured, committed, and conscientious working style with enjoyment of administrative tasks and direct patient contact during study visits
• Confident handling of medical devices and IT systems as well as very good German and English skills, spoken and written
