Process Engineer Metallisation/Vacuum Deposition
80 - 100% (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Responsibility for individual processes / systems for the deposition of thin metal layers (sputter deposition, evaporation)
- Ensuring the stability and reproducibility of deposition processes
- Development of new and improvement of existing processes
- Metrological assessment of layer properties
- Collaboration in the procurement and commissioning of new systems including documentation
- Contact person for production staff in case of problems (troubleshooting)
- Active participation in problem solving within the technology/process engineer team
- Training of production staff
- Planning and management of internal projects and customer projects
- Feasibility assessments in cooperation with sales, including customer contact
Your profile:
- Degree from a university of applied sciences / university (Bachelor/Master) in a suitable field (e.g. microsystems technology, physics, engineering) or completion of a technical apprenticeship (e.g. physics laboratory technician, microsystems technician) with proven several years of professional experience in the respective field
- Knowledge of vacuum technology and vacuum systems
- Hands-on experience in operating vacuum systems for layer deposition
- Knowledge in PVD (sputtering, evaporation)
- Relevant knowledge in thin film technology/semiconductor technology
- Very good comprehension, enjoyment of complex contexts, flexibility and resilience
- Independent, systematic working style
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written, are a matter of course to ensure collaboration within the group, with customers and suppliers
