About the job
Your new role
The city and the local citizens' community shape a liveable St. Gallen and promote social exchange. In 2027 and until early 2028, they will actively invite persons who meet the requirements to naturalise in favour of social cohesion.
You will take on a central role in the naturalisation affairs of the city of St. Gallen on the one hand and the local citizens' community of St. Gallen on the other. You will accompany naturalisation procedures for both organisations from the application submission to the decision and ensure legally compliant, efficient and service-oriented processing.
You will advise and support interested parties. You will examine applications, conduct interviews with clients independently, write well-founded reports for the naturalisation councils and accompany their discussions with the interested parties. You will be in close contact mainly with foreign clients, employers, private individuals as well as municipal, cantonal and federal authorities.
This position is for you if you
- have a commercial education, ideally in public administration.
- have professional experience in a municipal or city administration.
- are interested in very different people and treat people with respect and empathy.
- work independently, carefully and precisely.
- enjoy advising and can ideally express yourself in several languages.
- like working in a team, take responsibility at the same time and remain committed even in times of high workload.
