Wädenswil is an attractive town on the left shore of Lake Zurich with 26,000 inhabitants. Around 380 employees work in the town administration, providing comprehensive services to the population daily.
The Social Services department belongs to the Social Affairs division and is responsible for advising and supporting people with social and/or financial problems in the areas of social assistance and adult protection.
For the Social Work team of Social Services, we are looking for a motivated personality by arrangement as
with a focus on social assistance or a focus on adult protection
You choose your focus
Your leadership duties include
- professional, personnel, administrative and organisational leadership of the team
- (11 people)
- support of the Social Services management in control and controlling tasks
- support of the Social Services management in implementing legal, political, strategic and operational requirements
- organisation of internships in social work
Your areas of responsibility with a focus on social assistance include
- independent and comprehensive case management in economic and personal social assistance according to the Social Assistance Act and the Asylum Care Ordinance
- advice and support for people in difficult life situations
- promotion and support of professional and social integration
- administrative tasks
- participation in working groups (as needed)
Your areas of responsibility with a focus on adult protection include
- independent and comprehensive mandate management in the area of adult protection on behalf of the KESB Horgen
- advice and support for people in difficult life situations
- administrative tasks
- participation in working groups (as needed)
What you bring
- completed training as a social worker (FH/HF) or an equivalent qualification, e.g. in social insurance or law
- professional experience in adult protection and/or social assistance
- leadership experience, management training or willingness to develop further in this area
- analytical and networked thinking combined with a structured, efficient and resilient working style
- high social competence in dealing with different stakeholders: empathy, transparency and a pronounced solution orientation characterise you
- team spirit and a positive attitude
- interest in political and social contexts
