About the job
ELECTROMECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – ELECTRIC MOTORS
Canton of Neuchâtel
A motor breaks down. Is your first instinct to find out why, rather than just replace the part?
Then we should talk.
As part of a recruitment for one of our industrial partners, we are looking for an electromechanical maintenance technician capable of working on electric motors and industrial equipment, both on the electrical and mechanical sides.
Here, we are primarily looking for someone who knows how to diagnose, dismantle, understand, repair and recommission.
Your daily tasks
You will work notably on:
- Diagnosing electromechanical faults
- Dismantling and reassembling electric motors
- Detecting electrical and mechanical defects
- Inspecting stators, rotors, bearings and various components
- Replacing and adjusting defective parts
- Performing electrical measurements and insulation tests
- Testing, inspecting and validating after intervention
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Restoring industrial electromechanical equipment
The profile we are looking for
You come from a training background as an electromechanic, automation technician, electromechanical mechanic or an equivalent technical qualification.
But beyond the diploma, it is especially your practical experience that interests us.
You are comfortable moving from an electrical diagram to a bearing, from an insulation measurement to mechanical dismantling, then understanding the real cause of a fault.
You work methodically, precisely and autonomously and you value the quality of the work performed.
You score extra points if you know
- AC and DC electric motors
- Motor winding or rewinding
- Rotating systems
- Pumps, fans or gearboxes
- Electrical inspections and insulation measurements
- Electromechanical maintenance or overhaul in a workshop
You do not need to master all these areas.
We are primarily looking for someone with solid electromechanical fundamentals, a genuine diagnostic logic and the desire to understand what they are repairing.
Why this opportunity?
Because this is not a maintenance role where you just replace components.
You join an environment where technical know-how, diagnosis and repair still have real value.
You will find:
- A varied technical activity
- Diverse industrial equipment
- A workshop with genuine expertise
- An experienced team
- A stable position
- Recognised and valued technical skills
Do you recognise yourself?
You like opening a machine to understand what no longer works.
You prefer to find the fault rather than randomly change parts.
And when a motor runs again after your intervention, you know exactly why.
Then your profile interests us.
