What you achieve:
- Verification and clarification of benefit entitlement according to insurance regulations in the field of pet insurance (illness, accident, preventive care)
- Review and billing of complex and demanding veterinary invoices (2nd level) and, if necessary, objections to invoices
- Assessment of the medical necessity of treatments and procedures
- Close cooperation with veterinarians, animal clinics, and other service providers to clarify medical issues
- Answering questions from insured persons, service providers, and authorities by phone and email – friendly and understandable, even in complex matters
- Consultation and preparation of tailored offers for both new and existing customers
- Review and solution-oriented processing of requests for cost approval as well as complaints
- Preparation of correspondence, processing of insured and contract data, and ensuring other administrative tasks
Why you succeed:
- In addition to a successfully completed training in the veterinary field (e.g., EFZ Veterinary Medical Practice Assistant) or a medical or commercial training with proven veterinary knowledge, you already have experience in claims processing in the insurance sector, ideally with a focus on pet insurance
- You have already completed VBV training (all industries) or are willing to complete it
- You convince with your efficient, service-oriented, and always independent way of working
- Your communication skills on the phone and by email as well as your friendly, professional appearance complete your profile
- Even in demanding situations, you keep an overview and remain calm, and with your service commitment and insurance knowledge, you ensure a positive customer experience and actively contribute to improving our processes
- You communicate fluently in spoken and written German and French or Italian; any additional language is a plus
