Our client, Hypo Vorarlberg Bank AG located in St. Gallen, is an established bank operating across regions with public-law owners, regional values, and international connections. It operates in Austria, Switzerland, southern Germany, and northern Italy. As part of a successful Austrian banking group, it combines stability with entrepreneurial dynamism and is consistently expanding its Private Banking business in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The St. Gallen location has been in a strong growth phase for five years and offers the opportunity to actively contribute to the further development of a fully digitalised advisory approach, which is why we are seeking a Wealth Advisor / Deputy Head of Private Banking for our client.

Responsibilities

In this versatile role, you will take responsibility for servicing demanding private clients while actively contributing to the further expansion of Private Banking.

• Comprehensive advice for wealthy private clients (from CHF 1 million bankable assets, prospectively also affluent segment as a digitalised advisory desk)
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships with a focus on comprehensive cross-border advice
• Participation in the further development of Private Banking and assuming deputy leadership duties
• Collaboration in establishing a digital advisory desk for affluent clients as well as potentially for advisors in Austria and Germany
• Integration of asset management solutions from Austria and cross-border cooperation with advisory units in Austria, Germany, and northern Italy
• Financing in the area of owner-occupied residential properties and investment properties or smaller corporate client financing (depending on expertise)
• Participation in projects and active shaping of team and organisational structures

Requirements

You are an entrepreneurial-minded individual who enjoys building and brings solid experience in advising Private Banking clients.

• Several years of experience in wealth advisory / Private Banking
• Ability to independently and comprehensively advise demanding clients
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in actively influencing and shaping
• Affinity for digital topics and openness to new advisory approaches (e.g. digital desk)
• Ideally experience dealing with international clients or cross-border issues
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment
• Residence within the St. Gallen catchment area (approx. 40 minutes)
