Job Description

Our Geneva office, composed of a team of around 70 consultants, supports major accounts in the local Swiss market in their major transformation projects and combines an understanding of clients’ business challenges with leading technological expertise.

The goal of these committed teams is notably to help position Wavestone as the trusted consulting partner for Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) in their most ambitious technological and organisational transformations.

Your main responsibility will be to support our clients who need to address the following challenges:

• Support business units in their transition to the Cloud and next-generation networks;
• Transform employees’ working environment to bring more efficiency, collaboration and innovation;
• Build more agile and business-oriented technology platforms to support data and applications;
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve process efficiency, decision-making and service delivery;
• Evolve IT organisations to make them more efficient, agile and customer value-oriented;
• Implement a responsible digital approach.

These challenges translate into exciting consulting assignments due to their complexity, demands and expertise required for the office teams. These assignments include:

• Defining new digital collaboration modes, modernising tools and the digital work experience, boosting adoption of new digital tools;
• Defining IT transformation strategies towards the Cloud, framing these transformations financially, technologically and organisationally, then managing implementation;
• Framing, designing and supporting the implementation of technological solutions enabling new AI usages;
• Building the technological foundation and development factory to support business services: implementation on Azure/AWS/etc., deployment of DevOps factory and associated coaching, FinOps;
• Measuring the carbon footprint of digital technology and defining improvement plans for major accounts;
• Rethinking IT team organisations and operational models to leverage new technologies and optimise working methods.

MISSIONS / ROLE – EXPERIENCED CONSULTANT / SENIOR CONSULTANT

Depending on your expertise, you will advise our clients as an Experienced Consultant / Senior Consultant on various topics such as:

• Making a leading contribution to the delivery of your assignments by ensuring Wavestone’s quality commitments to meet your clients’ expectations on complex IT transformation programmes.
• Mastering one or more technical subject(s) and developing your ability to convince your clients on the topics you address.
• Designing, planning and managing IT transformation projects and programmes, in direct contact with your clients (independently or supported by a Manager / Partner).
• Promoting the skills development of junior consultants by sharing your know-how and supervising less experienced colleagues.
• Maintaining a trusting relationship with your client while leading projects responsibly, managing planning, risks and resources.
• Actively participating in the commercial dynamics of the office by identifying new business opportunities, ensuring the design and management of commercial proposals and participating in client presentations.
• Actively contributing to office development activities (practice performance management, recruitment…) and contributing to the firm’s reputation (publications, development of convictions and expertise on our offerings).
• Getting involved in other internal initiatives contributing to the development of the Geneva office: role of Career Development Manager (line manager), recruitment activities, practice performance management, training facilitation.

Qualifications

• You have a strong interest in consulting and have 3 to 5 years of successful experience in IT transformation topics (a first experience in consulting or in a large group in Switzerland is highly valued).
• Your professional background has allowed you to develop a good understanding of one or more of the following topics: cloud transformations, IT architecture, application architecture, enterprise architecture, data platform, containers, DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines, AI for IT, FinOps, collaboration tools and workplace transformation, M365 architectures, Copilot, smart connectivity & network architectures.

• You demonstrate autonomy in managing your assignments and are able to prioritise your actions in a multi-tasking context.
• You are a true team player with strong leadership, able to unite multidisciplinary teams. You will manage by example and help your team grow by sharing your knowledge and skills.
• Your intellectual curiosity allows you to quickly understand our clients’ specificities. You have a sharp critical and analytical mind, excellent interpersonal skills, strong writing ability and a pronounced sense of service and excellence.
• You hold a Master’s degree in Switzerland (top engineering school, business school or university) or equivalent and are fluent in English. Knowledge of German will be valued.
