Internship in Performance Diagnostics in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine

The Centre for Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine encompasses the specialties of cardiovascular, pulmonary, internal-oncological, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, combining outpatient, inpatient, and telemedical services from the Inselspital and the Bern Reha Centre. It is one of the leading providers in the field in service, teaching, and research, with national and international reach and networking. In our performance diagnostics team, alongside doctors and Advanced Practice Nurses, there is a sports scientist and several interns. The internship positions are filled by students of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health or sports sciences.

What to expect

• Learning, assisting with, and conducting spiroergometries with determination of ventilatory thresholds in patients and athletes
• Learning and performing body composition analysis using the BIA method, resting blood pressure measurement, grip strength measurement, measurement of maximal inspiratory pressure, and carbon monoxide concentration

What you bring

• Students of sports and exercise sciences or a comparable degree
• Enjoyment in working with patients
• Good knowledge of German, French skills are an advantage
