Job Description
We are looking for a professional and well-organised deputy branch manager to strengthen our team at our location in Heimberg, Switzerland, with an employment level of 80–100%. In this role, you will work closely with the branch manager to ensure smooth daily operations, provide exceptional customer service, and lead our branch team to success. The ideal candidate is characterised by strong leadership skills, operational efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards in customer care and branch operations.
- Supporting the branch manager in overseeing all aspects of daily branch operations and performance development - Supervising, training, and guiding branch employees to ensure consistent service quality and professional development - Managing staff scheduling and leave requests as well as ensuring adequate staffing during peak times
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels, conducting inventories, and coordinating with the supply chain team - Operating and troubleshooting cash register systems and accurately handling cash processes - Ensuring the branch environment is clean and well organised and that goods are properly presented according to company standards
- Professional and empathetic handling of customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints - Analysing sales figures and working towards achieving branch goals and KPIs - Implementing and enforcing company policies, procedures, and loss prevention measures - Assisting with onboarding new team members and promoting their integration into the branch culture - Complying with local regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or a deputy leadership position - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support team members - Excellent customer focus and problem-solving abilities - Confident use of cash register systems and retail management software - Demonstrated experience in inventory management and stock control - Solid knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial accountability
- Strong organisational skills and time management competencies - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed - Excellent communication skills in English; multilingualism is an advantage - Knowledge of the Swiss retail environment is beneficial - Familiarity with sales analysis and performance reporting - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
