About the job

The municipality of Birmensdorf is located in a rural, natural yet urban environment near the city of Zurich and is excellently connected by public transport (S14 and S5 from Zurich main station in 15 minutes).

The Birmensdorf primary school is a growing school with 10 kindergarten and 22 primary school classes and supplementary day care structures. The day care structures operate three after-school care locations, two smaller ones for kindergarten children and a large after-school care for primary school children.

With us, you have the opportunity to gain diverse professional experience in caring for kindergarten and school children. You support children by accompanying them in everyday life and being a supportive reference person.

During the apprenticeship, you will learn to lead groups of children and ensure compliance with rules and routines. Besides direct work with the after-school children, you will regularly be in contact with parents and other school professionals.
