Join the team of the Branch Network Management and Business Development department of the Retail and Digital Banking Division, within the Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE), an Authentic, Courageous and Fair bank.
As Head Office Specialist and Business Risk Manager, you support the Retail and Digital Banking Division in identifying, assessing and controlling non-financial risks (operational risks related to processes or human activities, regulatory, reputational or conduct risks) and in the good governance of the Division. You ensure the effectiveness of the Division's internal control system and the application of internal directives.
Your missions
Risk management
- Participate in the identification, assessment and control of the Division's operational risks, in collaboration with the Operational Risk section and the various business lines
- Monitor risk indicators, analyse results and propose optimisation measures, if necessary
- Report to business managers cases requiring in-depth analysis and/or corrective measures
- Follow up on remediation plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary working groups led by business experts aimed at quickly resolving complex and/or urgent issues
- Assess risk impacts when launching new activities or major changes and propose appropriate control and mitigation measures
Controls and governance
- Participate in defining and documenting controls for the Retail and Digital Banking Division
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal control system
- Perform certain controls and supervise others
- Ensure the follow-up of internal procedure revisions and their proper application within the Division
- Contribute to the management and implementation of action plans arising from audit recommendations
- Participate in committees dealing with operational risks
- Prepare reports for management
Support to business lines
- Be the reference contact for all questions relating to operational risks within the Division
- Raise awareness among teams about risk culture and best practices
Your profile
Education
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, risk management or equivalent field
- Banking Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC), supplemented by continuing education
Experience
- More than 5 years of experience in a front-office banking role, ideally complemented by risk management experience
- Very good knowledge of the Swiss banking environment
- Good command of operational arrangements related to a branch network and associated activities (payment traffic, physical security, LSFin, CBD, etc.)
