At the Münsingen site of the University Psychiatric Centre Bern (UPZ), you will find a varied field of activity in routine diagnostics with modern infrastructure, direct patient contact, and close interdisciplinary collaboration. In our small, dedicated team, you take responsibility for the quality of our laboratory services, contribute your expertise, and make an important contribution to the optimal care of our patients. Your tasks
- You independently perform laboratory analyses in the routine laboratory in the areas of haematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation, urine diagnostics, and external shipping, thereby making an important contribution to the optimal care of our patients
- You ensure the technical and medical validation of laboratory results
- You carry out blood sampling in the laboratory as well as on the wards, combining your professional competence with appreciative patient contact
- You ensure compliance with quality requirements and support the continuous development of our laboratory processes
- You work with our laboratory information system (CGM VT) as well as other digital systems (Orbis) and use them confidently in your daily work
- You work closely with the medical service, nursing staff, and other professional groups and contribute to smooth laboratory operations
- By agreement, you take on additional tasks such as recording new quality control lots, specific equipment maintenance, or orders
Your profile
- You have a completed diploma as a biomedical analyst HF or an equivalent qualification
- Ideally, you bring several years of professional experience in a general laboratory
- You enjoy working in a modern laboratory environment focused on routine diagnostics and appreciate the versatility of your area of responsibility
- You value working in a small, dedicated team and close interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors, nursing staff, and other professional groups
- You enjoy patient contact and are confident in performing blood sampling
- You have good IT user skills (LIS, KIS, Outlook, Windows) and are familiar with digital work processes
- You are open to innovations, changes in the laboratory field, and interested in further training
- You are characterised by an independent, responsible, and quality-oriented way of working
- You bring the necessary flexibility for deployment planning
- You have good German language skills, both spoken and written
