Clinical Application Specialist (m/f/d)

Role:
You are responsible for the support, operation, and further development of business-critical specialised applications in healthcare and ensure their stable, reliable use. In this position, you provide 2nd-level support, analyse and handle incidents, and proactively coordinate 3rd-level support from software manufacturers. You are responsible for change and release management, maintain the release roadmap, plan and test software releases, and coordinate their rollouts with internal and external stakeholders. You create and maintain documentation, provide on-call service, and actively contribute to projects – with technical know-how and a strong affinity for the healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the support, operation, and further development of the applications you are responsible for and provide 2nd-level support including analysis and handling of incidents
You proactively coordinate 3rd-level support from software manufacturers
You are responsible for change and release management: maintaining the release roadmap, planning and testing releases, and coordinating rollouts with internal and external stakeholders
You create, update, and maintain documentation (instructions, knowledge base)
You provide on-call service (maximum one week per month)
Additionally, you actively participate in projects and contribute your own ideas
Qualifications:
You bring proven, long-standing experience in the application area, ideally in healthcare; solid knowledge of Linux, SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), log analysis, and application troubleshooting is advantageous
You have training as an IT specialist; higher education at HF or FH level is an advantage
You ideally have experience with practice/hospital processes and a strong affinity for the healthcare environment
You work in a team-oriented, structured, and solution-focused manner and are a committed personality who contributes own ideas
You possess good methodological knowledge in 2nd-level support (ITIL knowledge and certification)
You are proficient in German, both spoken and written, and have basic knowledge of French
