About the job
Visual impairment-specific residential support is a service provided by SIBU Erlenhof (Swiss Centre of Expertise for the Visually Impaired in the Professional Environment) and accompanies and supports people with a visual impairment who, due to their visual impairment, are participating in an SVA-supported professional measure in Basel at SIBU (usually Monday to Friday, outside holiday periods) and cannot commute due to their place of residence.
To complement our team, we are looking for a
Specialist in Visual Impairment-Specific Residential Support 80%
Your area of responsibility:- Management, maintenance and care of the infrastructure (external residential units)
- Psychosocial support and counselling as well as assistance to clients in everyday life
- Promotion of practical life skills (with regard to visual impairment)
- Implementation and planning of group activities
- Coordination and exchange with internal and external specialists
- Client-related administrative tasks
- You have a recognised qualification as a social pedagogue or an equivalent qualification in the social field
- You are flexible regarding working hours
- You are willing to work two evenings per week if required (between Monday and Thursday)
- Your place of residence is ideally in Basel or the surrounding area, as regular leisure activities are offered to clients in and around the city of Basel
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Willingness and skill for practical work in the residential units
