100% Road Maintenance Worker, Attached to the "Green Spaces" Group

Within the Infrastructure department, the Road Maintenance – green spaces sector develops and maintains a green heritage that supports the growth of the municipality: parks, playgrounds, tree planting and flowered areas. To complete its team, the City of Crissier is advertising a position for its infrastructure service:

The road maintenance sector employs 15 collaborators, divided between the concerned group and the "public and urban spaces" group.

Your main duties

• Maintain green spaces: pruning trees, shrubs and hedges, mowing and upkeep of grassed areas, planting and maintenance of flower beds, monitoring irrigation.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of public areas: waste management, emptying street bins, upkeep of public kiosks.
• Participate in winter road maintenance (salting and snow clearing).
• Prepare, install and maintain equipment for municipal events.
• Maintain vehicles, tools and operational premises, and report any problems, faults or needs for equipment and products.
• Carry out tasks related to funeral services as well as transport or minor work for other departments.

Your profile

• Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as horticulturist-landscaper or equivalent training.
• Good knowledge of horticultural botany and perennial plants, knowledge of plant pests and diseases, interest in biodiversity and environmental issues.
• At least 5 years of professional experience related to the tasks assigned to the "green spaces" group.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Holder of category B and BE (trailer) driving licences.
• Experience driving "municipal" or road maintenance vehicles.
• Good level of spoken French.

Special conditions

• Flexibility in working hours outside of regular days and hours, to participate alternately in on-call services (winter, cleanliness and events).
• Residence close to the municipality due to work-related constraints.
