You have finished your A-levels and want to work and earn good money before university, military service or a longer trip?
For our roofing clients in the canton of Lucerne, we are continuously looking for motivated and physically fit A-level graduates, students and young adults for temporary assignments as roofer assistants.

You support experienced roofers with various tasks on pitched and flat roofs. Training as a roofer is not necessarily required. What matters is your motivation, physical fitness and willingness to actively help on construction sites.

Finished A-levels? Your temporary roofer job in the gap year in Lucerne - CHF 28.- to 30.- per hour

  • Supporting roofers on various construction sites
  • Assisting with work on pitched and flat roofs
  • Carrying, preparing and providing building materials
  • Helping with laying tiles and roof panels
  • Supporting sealing and insulation work
  • Assisting with the assembly of substructures
  • Supporting work on facades and building envelopes
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Cleaning and tidying up on the construction site
  • General helper tasks as instructed by the foreman


    • You will work together with experienced professionals on various construction sites in the canton of Lucerne and Central Switzerland.

    You bring:
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You live in the canton of Lucerne or nearby
  • You have good spoken German skills
  • You are physically fit, strong and resilient
  • You must be free from vertigo and comfortable working at heights
  • You enjoy working outdoors and in different weather conditions
  • You are reliable, punctual and motivated
  • You have manual skills
  • You can understand and reliably follow instructions
  • You enjoy working in a team
  • You are available for several weeks or months
  • Ideally, you have a category B driving licence


    • Some experience on a construction site, in roofing or a craft profession is an advantage but not mandatory.


    We offer:
  • An hourly wage of CHF 28.- to 30.- gross, depending on assignment and your prior knowledge
  • Expenses according to the applicable collective labour agreement and assignment
