Social Integration Advisor, 70-80% in Fribourg (m/f/d)
The Migration & Integration Department of French-speaking Switzerland - a branch of Caritas Switzerland in Fribourg - is responsible for the support and integration of recognized refugees in the canton of Fribourg on behalf of the state.
The Integration Service is a multidisciplinary service composed of 30 people distributed across 5 Domains. The Service's mission is to promote the sustainable professional and social integration of refugees. The professionals support beneficiaries individually and in groups, in order to assess their needs and skills, develop personalized measures, and coordinate work with other Services and external partners.
In this context, we are looking for a social integration advisor whose main tasks will be to assess the needs and skills of the refugees followed, support and accompany them in their social integration process.
- Assess the needs and skills of refugees and accompany them in the social integration process
- Implement integration measures, internships, and other activities
- Create, monitor, and develop synergies with other professionals of the Service
- Ensure follow-up and updating in the management system
- Perform administration and information related to the various measures
- Collaborate with the internal Services of the Department
- Collaborate with the network of external partners, the managers of social integration measures (MIS), and the relevant state Services
- Actively participate in the meetings of the Integration Service and the Department and collaborate with the internal Services of the Department
- Participate in the development and implementation of new internal or external projects
- Tertiary education in human sciences or other training considered relevant for the position
- Other training focused on adult education, insertion, integration, or social and professional orientation and/or focused on mental health, a major asset
- Professional experience in these fields of at least 2 years
- Professional experience in supporting migrants, an asset
- Good knowledge of the economic and associative fabric of the canton of Fribourg
- High organizational and administrative skills, ability to synthesize, and good stress resistance
- Initiative, strong sense of responsibility, rigor, and professional ethics
- Ability to work independently and also in a team, in a multicultural environment
- High proficiency with modern IT tools (data management, Microsoft Office, etc.); knowledge of the management software Tutoris or equivalent, an asset
- Native French or German speaker with excellent knowledge of the other language, mastery of another language an asset
