Psychosocial
Assistant Psychologist for the Liaison Psychiatry Service
To complete its team, the Department of Psychiatry is seeking an assistant psychologist at an 80% activity rate. The starting date is scheduled for 1 January 2027.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The specialised Liaison Psychiatry Unit (UPLS) is attached to the CHUV Liaison Psychiatry Service (PLI). It coordinates and provides professional supervision to psychologists and psychiatrists specifically engaged within various CHUV care Services and Units (Palliative Care, Pain Management, Genetic Medicine, Oncology, Organ Transplant Centre, etc.). They participate in certain PLI meetings. The managers are supervised by the UPLS leaders according to their needs.
The psycho-oncology consultation is part of the CHUV Coordinated Oncology Centre. It is currently the largest specialised platform in this field in Switzerland. Its missions are to provide diagnostic and therapeutic care and follow-up for adult patients suffering from cancer; to serve as a regional reference service by coordinating the care of patients in the oncology field, taking into account services offered by other Department services – such as haematology, radio-oncology, immuno-oncology, and the experimental therapies centre – in collaboration with private partners, clinics, and regional hospitals.
This position includes a clinical component involving brief psychological assessments and/or interventions with oncology patients and their relatives, through individual, couple, and family interviews. Additionally, this position includes a second component: liaison work with the medical team through communications and recommendations to the team.
