Social Pedagogical Key Worker MNA 100% in Zürich-Oerlikon (m/f/d)
Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centres at various locations in the canton of Zürich on behalf of the canton since March 2024. As a social pedagogical specialist and key worker, you are responsible for the personal and age-appropriate care, support and integration of the predominantly female unaccompanied minor asylum seekers at the MNA centre on Regensbergstrasse in Zürich-Oerlikon.
Your tasks
- Social pedagogical and psychosocial support and care of the young people within the framework of the key worker system
- Promotion of the young people according to the guidelines of the promotion and development planning of the canton of Zürich with individual objectives and target reviews
- Development of needs-based daily structures and leisure activities for and with the young people
- Promotion of social and self-competence, independence and psychological and social integrity
- Crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Active interdisciplinary coordination and planning within the team (including close cooperation with guardianship)
- Budget responsibility according to the implementation guidelines of the canton of Zürich and the requirements of Caritas Switzerland
- External networking with cooperation partners and organisations
- Co-responsibility for creating a good house atmosphere and for compliance with the house rules and safety in the centre
Our requirements
- Completed recognised social pedagogical training (or equivalent)
- Professional experience in the migration sector and/or youth work desirable
- Knowledge of gender-specific pedagogy
- Good German language skills, additional foreign language skills an advantage
- Intercultural competence
- Willingness and flexibility to work varying hours (shift/weekend work)
- High sense of responsibility and quality awareness for work with vulnerable, at-risk young people
- Initiative, independence, ability to work in a team as well as assertiveness
- High resilience and ability to cope with pressure
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Impeccable reputation
