The Insel Data Science Center (IDSC) is a cross-directorate institution of the Insel Group that consolidates all tasks related to data analysis. Its main tasks include the development and operation of the data platform as well as the applications built on it. For the further development and operation of our central Insel Data Platform within the IDSC, we are looking for you as a Database Specialist.

What to expect

• Active participation in the expansion, further development and operation of the existing SQL-based data warehouses in the IDSC
• Active participation in the connection and modelling of various source systems
• Design, modelling and implementation of solutions in an agile project environment
• Participation in the design and construction of the (DWH) DevOps infrastructure and processes
• Close collaboration with data analysts/data engineers, specialist departments and infrastructure teams

What you bring

• University or university of applied sciences education in computer science, business informatics or an equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years of practical professional experience in the data warehousing field, preferably in the Microsoft environment (MS SQL, SSIS), as well as very good SQL skills
• Experience in database system administration, as well as practical professional experience in the DevOps area
• Experience in the EPIC DWH area (e.g. Caboodle) and with frontend tools (SSRS) is an advantage
• Open, clear and audience-appropriate communication
• High motivation, enthusiasm, proactivity and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• Very good oral and written German skills as well as good English skills
