Paediatric Nurse
Onex Clinic and Out-of-Hours Service
We are looking for a nurse at 60-70% for our paediatric emergency department within Onex Clinic and Out-of-Hours Service SA. You will join a dynamic team in a stimulating environment, where quality of care, responsiveness and support for children and their families are at the heart of our priorities.
Your duties
- Welcome, assess and care for children presenting at the emergency department, in collaboration with the medical team.
- Perform nursing care adapted to the child’s clinical condition in accordance with current protocols.
- Ensure clinical monitoring of patients and adapt care according to the evolution of their condition.
- Administer treatments and carry out prescribed technical procedures.
- Participate in the management of emergency situations and acute paediatric care.
- Support and inform parents throughout the care process, with listening and kindness.
- Ensure traceability of care and guarantee the quality of documentation in the patient file.
- Work closely with doctors and other health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety rules and best practices.
- Participate in the life of the department, team meetings and continuing education.
Your profile
- Nursing diploma recognised in Switzerland and right to practice in the canton of Geneva.
- At least five years’ experience in paediatrics.
- Obtained or to obtain the Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience in paediatric emergency or acute care is a real asset.
- Excellent ability to manage emergency situations and work under pressure.
- Sense of responsibility, autonomy and good organisational skills.
- Team spirit, good interpersonal skills and a caring approach towards children and their families.
