The Planning and Projects division of the Civil Engineering Office includes the departments of Traffic and Road, Settlement Drainage and Watercourses, Road Inspection, and Urban Green. The employees lead projects, process construction applications, and create concepts for the development of Thun's infrastructure.

We are looking for a new team member starting November 1, 2025, or by agreement.
Your tasks:
- You will lead the strategic and operational department of Traffic and Road with six employees and actively shape the traffic technical development.
- You will take responsibility for civil engineering projects for SIA 103 phases 1 to 4 and ensure their goal-oriented, economical, and timely implementation.
- You will develop concepts/strategies in the field of traffic and infrastructure, coordinate the long-term investment planning, and manage the credit management of your department.
- You will accompany complex civil engineering projects in public spaces in close collaboration with planning offices, contractors, administrative offices, and private stakeholders.
- You will represent the Civil Engineering Office in interdisciplinary working groups, contribute your expertise to planning processes, and ensure efficient coordination with other offices.
- You will provide information on ongoing and planned projects, take a position on political initiatives, and present confidently and convincingly to authorities.
- You will maintain targeted communication: You will inform internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner at important milestones.
You bring:
- A completed degree as a civil engineer (ETH/FH) or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in project management and in the infrastructure sector, ideally in the public environment.
- Knowledge of SIA processes and standards, and you are familiar with the guidelines of VSS, VSA, and other professional associations.
- A professional appearance, you are resilient, reliable, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- An independent working style, you think in a networked way and actively contribute your expertise to cross-departmental projects.
- A quick grasp, networked thinking, and high resilience.
