Senior Strategic Buyer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Independent strategic management of product groups, e.g. electrical engineering, electronics, drive technology or machining/casting
• Preparation and conduct of price and contract negotiations
• Development of savings potentials and improvement measures including implementation
• Responsible coordination and implementation of supplier escalations within the scope of bottleneck management
• Design and implementation of product group strategies for own product groups
• Establishment and qualification of new suppliers and development of existing suppliers
• Conducting worldwide procurement market research
• Ensuring the availability of production materials for the business units machine tools, laser technology (including EUV) and power tools in cooperation with planning and quality management
• Initiation and support of supplier audits as a supplier auditor
• Support in the further development of (existing) systems/processes
• Leadership or participation in purchasing projects, e.g. MGK reduction or shortening of the replenishment time
• Creation and maintenance of master data as well as processing of invoice discrepancies

What we are looking for

• Degree with a focus on industrial engineering or business administration
• At least 7 years of experience in strategic/technical purchasing in a technical environment (mechanical engineering, automotive, medical technology or aviation)
• Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
• Independent, structured, reliable and precise working style
• Sound knowledge of MS Office and SAP (R/3 or S4 HANA)
• Willingness to travel 10%
• Fluent language skills in German and English
