Head of Raw Materials & Landfills (m/f/d)
The Zurich brickworks offer ceramic solutions for the entire building envelope. For over 150 years, we have made living more natural and building easier with our clay building materials. From a simple raw material, we develop sophisticated systems for roofs, walls, and facades. Since 2020, we have been part of the swisspor Group.
To strengthen our team in Regensdorf ZH, we are looking for a professional Head of Raw Materials & Landfills (m/f/d).
Your Tasks
- Responsible for the long-term securing of strategic raw material reserves
- Planning, developing, and operating landfills in collaboration with external partners
- Contact person for cantonal and municipal authorities, including nature and water protection, spatial planning, etc.
- Proactively managing and involving relevant stakeholders, such as residents, nature conservation groups, etc.
- Creating environmental impact assessments and design plans with third-party partners
- Obtaining geological reports and soil investigations
- Managing property owners and external partner offices
- Coordinating extraction planning and submitting extraction applications
- Budget and cost center responsibility in the area of responsibility
You Bring
- Commercial or technical basic training with business management further education
- Further training as a technician TS / engineer FH / materials engineer / geologist / geotechnician desirable
- Min. 5 years of professional experience in a similar field or in a production company, experience in the ceramic industry is an advantage
- Enjoyment in an interface function and in collaboration with authorities, politics, specialist planners, and internal departments
- Distinct strategic and networked thinking
- Open, communicative team player with "doer qualities"
- Good IT skills (Office and Microsoft D365) as well as native German and good English skills (at least B2)
