About the job
A good gardener sees more than green.
They recognise where a garden has lost its rhythm. Where a cut is missing. Where a hedge has grown too high. Where a border is alive, but only overgrowing.
And where customers want a beautiful outdoor space, but don’t need someone to pretend, rather someone who recognises it, tackles it, implements it neatly and makes it affordable. No frills. No fuss. No frippery. But good craftsmanship.
For a medium-sized landscaping company in the Basel region, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an experienced landscape gardener or customer gardener
Landscape Gardener or Customer Gardener 100% - others walk through gardens. You read them...
We are not simply looking for someone to work outside, but a personality with an eye, plant knowledge, a steady hand and a way of working that you don’t have to explain at the end, because you just see it.
What makes this role special
- You don’t just move between hedges, lawns and seasonal tasks. You work in gardens that want to be read. Some speak immediately. Others only show on the second glance where they have lost their rhythm. This role is made exactly for this sensitivity.
- Your daily routine includes comprehensive maintenance work: pruning, plant care, hedge and lawn maintenance as well as seasonal service assignments.
- There are also new installations and redesigns where you don’t just work, but have to think along.
- Contact with customers: is also part of it. Not as a chore, but as part of the profession. Listening, understanding, advising properly, prioritising wishes and creating sensible solutions from them. This is exactly what distinguishes good customer gardeners from someone who simply completes orders.
Who you are:
- You have training as a landscape gardener or practical experience that doesn’t need a glossy brochure to convince. You know plants not only by name. You know what makes sense when and what is better left alone.
- You are good at working independently. You are organised, reliable and take responsibility on site. You don’t need someone to explain every morning how a well-kept garden should look.
- A category B driving licence is important; a trailer test would be a clear advantage.
What awaits you here
- Our client offers you a contemporary position with a future in a company that does not lure good professionals with big words, but with work that has substance and with conditions that are impressive.
- You can expect a varied daily routine with personal responsibility, an experienced team and an environment where your performance is visible outside and appreciated internally.
