The Migration Office operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues. We are responsible for foreigner permits, enforce the federal foreigner and asylum law, issue biometric Swiss passports and foreigner identity cards, and provide care and integration in our asylum centers.
The Migration Office is looking for a
Team Leader / Deputy Center Manager (m/f/d)
for the Departure and Emergency Aid Center Sonnenberg in Vilters-Wangs starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Workload: 80-100%
Workplace: Vilters-Wangs
What to expect
- You are responsible for the personnel and organizational management of the health service, administration, and the children's school with a total of seven employees
- You plan the shifts, keep an eye on the budget, and together with the management team ensure that quality standards and conceptual guidelines are met
- As deputy center manager, you ensure the orderly operation of the center
- You are the contact person for employees and residents
- You provide advisory support to residents regarding return questions
What distinguishes you
- You have completed vocational training and have professional experience in public administration – ideally in an office from the administrative sector, police, correctional services, or social sector
- Ideally, you have leadership experience
- You remain calm in challenging situations and preferably have experience in conflict management
- You are characterized by clear communication and are open in dealing with people from different cultures
- You are flexible, resilient, and able to assert yourself
- Foreign language skills are a plus
- Driver's license category B
