About the job

• Lead the drinking water production department with around 70 employees in a growing environment in terms of personnel, strategy, finance, and organisation.
• Be responsible for the safe, economical, and sustainable production of drinking water for the supply area.
• Ensure the operation and maintenance of the treatment plants of IWB and partner companies, continuously develop processes, and further advance digitalisation.
• Take on management mandates at partner companies, represent their interests, and shape the partnership collaboration with IWB.
• Further strengthen cross-departmental collaboration, especially with the Networks division, and represent the department in various committees.

• You have a strong connection to the Basel region and want to take responsibility for drinking water supply.
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in a drinking water-related environment such as water supply, food production, plant construction, or similar.
• Completed technical master’s degree with business management further education or a comparable combination, as well as a category B driving licence.
• Distinct joy and ability to lead different personalities situationally, appreciatively, and on an equal footing.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills in dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, from technical specialists and academic experts to authorities and political representatives.
