Social Worker at kjz Meilen 70 - 100%The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. The kjz (Child and Youth Welfare Centre) is a polyvalent counselling centre for families, parents, adolescents, children and toddlers and operates on the basis of the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zurich.
For the Social Work and Mandates Department at kjz Meilen, we are looking to complement our team from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement with a social worker (70-100%).
You will advise and support children, adolescents, mothers and fathers within the framework of child protection measures and on a voluntary basis. In addition, you will conduct assessments in cases of child welfare endangerment on behalf of the KESB. In fulfilling your duties, you will work closely with authorities, schools, other institutions and specialist agencies.
You bring:
- a completed degree in Social Work from a university of applied sciences
- experience in youth and family welfare and ideally in mandate management
- a persuasive, goal-oriented and assertive personality
- high social competence as well as good written and oral communication skills
- systemic thinking ability and enjoyment of administrative tasks
