Senior in the Classroom

About the job

The Heilpädagogische Schule Olten is looking for volunteers who enrich the lessons with their experience and time.

As a senior in the classroom, you visit the class weekly for hours or half days. You support the young people and relieve the teacher. In doing so, you accompany the school day and promote relationships between generations. Educational prior knowledge is not necessary.

We look forward to a person who listens, lends a hand, accompanies, enjoys beautiful moments with us, and supports us. You help us with work in the whole class or work with individual young people. The teacher is always there to support you.

The class consists of 8 young people from 7th to 9th school year with different handicaps. The work with the young people is very individual and oriented to their needs and abilities.

We work a lot here. However, it is important to us that everyone feels comfortable and that humour and joie de vivre are not neglected.
