Head of Logistics 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

• Responsibility for leading and strategically developing a team of approximately 50 employees in the core areas of goods receipt, order picking, production supply, and distribution

• Together with your team, you ensure sustainable and efficient management of all internal and external warehouse locations domestically and abroad

• Ensuring continuous material availability through close coordination with internal departments and external partners to guarantee optimal product availability

• Identification and implementation of optimisation and cost-saving potentials along the entire warehousing and distribution chain for continuous development of logistics processes

• Taking on project management for logistical initiatives as well as active participation in cross-departmental projects

• Professional use and continuous development of SAP systems with a focus on automation and master data management

• Overall responsibility for warehouse management including warehouse management system (SAP WM) as well as proper execution of inventory

What do I need to be successful?

Our client requires a leadership personality with the following qualifications for this responsible position:

• Completed training in logistics or commercial field, supplemented by further education in Supply Chain Management (for example, certified logistics manager, certified supply chain manager or equivalent)

• Ideally, you have additional business management training at FH or HF level

• Several years of professional experience in logistics with proven success in a comparable leadership position

• Solid leadership experience with the ability to successfully lead and develop teams

• Practical experience in warehousing and distribution logistics as well as in supporting IT and transformation projects

• Confident use of MS Office applications and comprehensive knowledge of SAP, especially in the WM, SD and MM modules

• Fluent German and good English skills in spoken and written form; French skills are an advantage

• Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate employees

• Quick comprehension, analytical thinking and strong assertiveness

• Solution-oriented and pragmatic working style with the willingness to be operationally present on site with employees, suppliers and customers
