We are the direct point of contact for educational and care questions and support children, young people and their families in emergency situations. We network providers of child and youth promotion, child and youth welfare and advise in cases of suspected child welfare endangerment. We advise and supervise institutions providing family and school supplementary care and promote the compatibility of family and work.

Specialist Responsible for Children with Special Needs (m/f), 30-50%, fixed-term until 31.12.2026 with option for permanent employment
What to expect- Assessment of applications for additional care needs for children with special needs (KibeBe) in out-of-family childcare in the preschool sector (planned future extension to compulsory school time)
- Review of medical diagnoses or remedial education assessment reports of a KibeBe or independent confirmation of increased care needs
- Determination of the number of hours required for additional care (weighting of the place, training and further education requirements as well as presence of educational staff, necessity of nursing staff and infrastructure, etc.)
- Support for families and advice to care institutions in out-of-family childcare of a KibeBe
- Participation in the development of legal foundations as well as creation of necessary procedures and documents (e.g. needs grid)
- Case-related administrative tasks (e.g. preparation of case reports)
- Documentation within the framework of digitalised file management
- Advising department and executive management on the KibeBe dossier
- Participation in handling important political matters
- Monitoring and development of the entire KibeBe specialist area
What you bring
- University degree (Master's) in remedial education / special education or comparable qualification
- Extensive professional experience in the KibeBe field (including assessments)
- Strong interest and commitment to the KibeBe area in out-of-family care institutions
- High communication skills and experience in conducting conversations
- Confident demeanour and ability to set boundaries even in challenging discussions
- Willingness to develop and implement legal framework conditions
- Affinity for administrative tasks, political processes and legal issues
- Good oral and written language skills as well as enjoyment and experience in report writing
- Independent, careful and efficient working style
- Good knowledge of common Office programmes
