Scientific Staff - Monitoring for Digital Health Management (a)
In our research area Digital Health Solutions, we develop innovative technologies for long-term monitoring of individuals with the aim of improving safety and performance. Our department Biomimetic Membranes and Textiles combines interdisciplinary expertise for the development, integration, and application of sensors in textiles. As part of a current project, we are developing an intelligent body monitoring system that captures physical and mental performance in real-time using physiological parameters – with the goal of increasing safety in challenging work situations and laying the groundwork for individualized therapies.
Your Tasks
- You will work on concepts for the development of novel, textile-integrated body sensor systems for the objective assessment of health status and performance.
- You will further develop the measurement systems together with internal expert groups and external project partners and implement them as prototypes.
- You will plan, organize, and accompany wear trials for the practical testing of the systems in realistic application scenarios.
- You will collect and analyze the physiological data obtained to assess reliability and validity.
- You will collaborate on the publication of research results and support the preparation of research proposals.
Your Profile
- You have a completed doctorate in Biomedical Engineering or a related field – alternatively, you have a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience as an engineer.
- You are interested in applied research and in transferring scientific findings into industrial applications.
- You bring both technical understanding (data collection, data quality) and physiological know-how for the interpretation of body signals in relation to health and performance.
- You have experience in leading or coordinating (sub-)projects.
- You are characterized as a communicative, reliable, and goal-oriented personality.
- You communicate confidently and stylistically in both German and English – both orally and in writing.
Our Offer
We offer you the opportunity to contribute and further develop your scientific and technical skills in a practice-oriented research environment. Through interdisciplinary collaboration with professionals and project partners from different fields and cultures, you will not only expand your knowledge but also your professional network – a valuable foundation for your career in research or industry.
The position will start by agreement. The employment is initially limited to two years. A continuation of the collaboration will be explicitly considered in the case of successful project progress and suitable team dynamics.
