About the job
Actively shape the operational resilience of the Baden Cantonal Hospital. As the person responsible for Business Continuity Management, you assume overall responsibility for Business Continuity Management (BCM) at Baden Cantonal Hospital. You develop BCM strategically and operationally, establish clear structures and standards, and ensure uniform implementation throughout the entire hospital. In this central role, you advise the executive management and other leadership bodies together with the supervising specialist unit, coordinate the relevant departments, and create the conditions to ensure that critical services can be reliably maintained or quickly restored even in the event of serious disruptions. The position is to be filled immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks
- You bear overall responsibility for the establishment, implementation, operation, monitoring, and continuous development of hospital-wide Business Continuity Management.
- You develop the BCM strategy and derive binding guidelines, standards, processes, and measures for the entire hospital.
- You design and maintain BCM policy, guidelines, and governance, defining clear roles, responsibilities, competencies, and escalation paths.
- You establish a uniform BCM methodology across clinics, institutes, departments, and support areas and ensure its sustainable application.
- Together with the supervising specialist unit, you advise the executive management and other leadership bodies on operational resilience, continuity risks, and relevant regulatory and professional developments.
- You coordinate BCM activities at the interfaces with risk management, crisis and emergency management, ICT, information security, data protection, facility management, medical technology, quality management, occupational safety, and other relevant specialist units.
- You build a hospital-wide network of BCM officers and contacts, coordinate it, and continuously develop the collaboration.
- You establish meaningful key performance indicators and reporting systems, create transparency about risks, measures, and BCM maturity level, and report regularly to the responsible leadership bodies.
- You plan and coordinate assessments, reviews, tests, and audits, support internal and external examinations, and ensure comprehensible documentation and evidence.
- You lead the BCM area both professionally and organisationally and are responsible for annual planning, priorities, resources, budget, and capacities.
Your profile
- You have a higher education in Business Continuity Management, Risk Management, Crisis Management, Security, or a comparable field.
- You bring solid practical experience in establishing, implementing, and further developing Business Continuity Management – ideally in a complex, regulated, or supply-critical environment.
- You are familiar with the regulatory, legal, and normative requirements relevant to BCM and can practically assess and implement their significance for a hospital.
- You have a strong understanding of the interfaces with risk management, crisis and emergency management, ICT, information security, data protection, and other relevant specialist areas.
- You think strategically and networked, work in a structured and analytical manner, and combine conceptual strength with pragmatic implementation skills.
- You are accustomed to managing cross-departmental topics, reconciling different interests, and achieving commitment and impact even without direct line responsibility.
- You possess strong communication and advisory skills and are confident in interacting with executive management, leaders, and specialists.
- You set clear priorities, take responsibility, and drive topics independently and consistently forward.
- You know how to build sustainable networks and promote open, solution-oriented, and cross-departmental collaboration.
