As an IT Support Technician N1/N2, you are the local IT contact for employees based in Geneva.
You help ensure the availability, reliability and security of the IT environment.
You assist users in resolving their requests and actively participate in transformation and modernisation projects of our IT infrastructures.
What you can contribute to:
➢ Provide level 1 and 2 technical support:
- Handle, qualify, prioritise and process first and second level requests and incidents.
- Diagnose hardware, software and network malfunctions.
- Resolve incidents or forward them to specialised teams, ensuring follow-up until closure.
- Advise and assist users in the use of IT tools.
- Identify recurring incidents and propose corrective or preventive measures.
➢ Provide technical assistance:
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot workstations, printers, phones, tablets and audiovisual equipment.
- Ensure preparation, delivery, replacement and recovery of IT equipment.
- Participate in equipment lifecycle management.
- Analyse needs and prepare IT equipment orders.
- Ensure monitoring and updating of IT stock.
➢ IT project management:
- Participate in the management and implementation of operational IT projects.
- Coordinate equipment deployments, workstation migrations and integration of new software solutions.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, external providers and various regional departments.
- Ensure follow-up of actions, deadlines and project documentation.
➢ Onboarding & Administration:
- Prepare the IT environment for new employees.
- Manage requests for creation, modification and deletion of access rights.
- Administer user rights, storage authorisations and application access according to current processes.
- Participate in arrival, internal mobility and departure processes of employees.
➢ Knowledge management:
- Create, update and make available technical procedures and user manuals.
- Maintain documentation related to local IT equipment and infrastructures.
- Participate in the preparation of plans, inventories, specifications and technical documents.
- Contribute to the preparation and support of security audits.
- Ensure compliance with standards, internal directives and good IT practices.
➢ Administrative follow-up:
- Control orders and invoices related to IT services and equipment.
- Ensure follow-up of suppliers and external interventions.
- Manage inventory and reporting of equipment.➢ Provide level 1 and 2 technical support:
What you bring:
- Professional training in IT (CFC IT technician, Professional Maturity, BAC Microinformatics, BTS IT or equivalent qualification)
- Confirmed professional experience in IT support (Helpdesk, local support)
- Excellent command of environments: ➢ Windows 11, MS Office 365, ➢ Windows servers 2016/2019/2022, ➢ TCP/IP protocol suite (DHCP, DNS, POP3, SMTP), ➢ Outlook/MS Exchange/365, ➢ Mobile clients (iOS, Android)/MS Exchange, ➢ Network; switches, VLAN, firewall
- Experience in second-level IT support and technical problem resolution
- Knowledge of IT standards, norms and best practices in incident management – ITIL processes
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, service orientation, listening and diplomacy with users
- Flexible, organised personality with a strong sense of priorities
- Team spirit while demonstrating autonomy, rigour, reliability and discretion
- Knowledge of IT project management
- Analytical and solution-oriented thinking
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of German is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of English is an additional asset.
- Impeccable integrity (no criminal record or proceedings, no defaults, bankruptcy, guardianship or trusteeship) for security accreditation by the Police.
