We help people: Caritas Aargau is an independent aid organization with diverse tasks in the canton of Aargau. We advocate for people affected by poverty, socially disadvantaged individuals, and for a just and solidaristic society.
Caritas Aargau also manages the office of Caritas Solothurn under a mandate.
Department Head and Adult Educator 70-80% (m/f/d)
For the Projects and Education department, we are looking for a committed leader willing to take on both leadership and operational tasks starting May 1, 2026, or by agreement.
The department is responsible for various course modules and projects aimed at the social integration of people with refugee and migration backgrounds and socially disadvantaged individuals in the cantons of Aargau and Solothurn. Volunteers play a central role in project work.
Leadership tasks (30-40%)
- Further development of the Projects and Education department including course management
- Participation in tenders for new course modules
- Quality management (EduQua)
- Ensuring sustainable financing of the department
- Collaboration in company-wide processes in a dynamic environment
- Personnel management (currently 7 employees)
Course management (approx. 20%)
- Organization and implementation of courses for people with refugee and migration backgrounds
- Collaboration with other specialist offices
- Reporting to the funders
Coordination of volunteer work (approx. 20%)
- Quality assurance and further development of volunteer work throughout the organization (over 500 volunteers)
- Responsibility for professional exchange among project leaders
- Public relations and networking
- Coordination of company-wide volunteer acknowledgments
- Training and experience in adult education (trainer with federal certificate or equivalent mandatory)
- Experience in planning, organization, and conceptual work, especially in course management
- Leadership training and/or experience
- Knowledge of project work methodology and social work
- Knowledge of volunteer work is an advantage
- Experience and interest in integration and education topics
