About the job
You think in structures, not in isolated cases – and want to not only uncover criminal networks but sustainably dismantle them? Then bring your investigative skills to the newly established interdisciplinary group and work together with investigative teams on particularly complex criminal police investigations in the field of organised and structured crime.
Your tasks
- Recognise and identify criminal activities through criminal analytical, operational and strategic investigative work in close cooperation with internal and external partners (police officers, public prosecutors, fedpol, etc.)
- Analyse and prepare complex data sets and information, evaluate data as well as clues and surveillance results
- Support operational units with case files on personal networks and phenomena, pattern recognition, partly by visualising and programming automations, and depending on the situation, participate in investigative groups
- Use digital research possibilities, OSINT tools and information systems
- Further develop methods, processes and standards – also from the perspective of digitalisation
Your profile
- Education at the level of a university of applied sciences or university – e.g. in data science, criminology, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics – including comprehensive and proficient methodological and statistical skills
- Experience in data analysis and structured evaluation of complex data sets
- Quick comprehension and ability to combine, very good imagination and a pronounced flair for specialised software products, including corresponding programming skills
- Proven independent, structured working style, analytical thinking, innovation and persistence
- Editorial skills, ability to work in a team, willingness to continue learning, as well as confident and convincing appearance
