Senior Python Software Engineer

About the job

• Exciting and innovative projects for our clients: from creative workshops to proof-of-concepts to the joint implementation of productive solutions
• You take technical responsibility in your projects, lead them independently and make well-founded architecture and design decisions
• Development of robust, maintainable software on a modern Python stack, focusing on clean code, clean architecture and testability
• DevOps throughout the entire lifecycle: CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and operation with Docker and Kubernetes
• You also contribute your expertise during the proposal phase and help shape offers professionally
• You pass on your knowledge, mentor juniors and establish good engineering practices together with the team
• Touchpoints with AI/ML: depending on the project, you work closely with our AI-ML engineers
• Continuous learning and ongoing training as well as insights into the various industries of our clients
• Variety and exciting collaboration in internal project teams as well as on-site with our clients

• Several years of experience in the conception, design and implementation of demanding Python applications. You lead projects independently and mentor juniors
• A completed Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Confident handling of a modern Python stack, e.g. FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Celery, pytest, uv, ruff and ty as well as relational databases with SQL
• Solid software engineering knowledge: OOP, clean code, clean architecture and test-driven development are second nature to you
• Familiar with GitOps workflows and experience in DevOps with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and operation with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with agile software development
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with team and clients
• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written
• Advantageous: experience in the open-source environment, full-stack know-how, cloud experience (ideally Azure) as well as knowledge of other programming languages
