To strengthen our department S&E Sustainable Real Estate and Construction DCH, in the P&B (Property and Buildings) sector, we are looking for a(n) position for our office in Zurich immediately or by agreement.

Department Head (m/f/d 80-100%)

In this role, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that embodies the core values of our company: collaboration, passion for complex projects, and innovative spirit.

Your tasks:

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed personality who actively shapes the market in German-speaking Switzerland. In this role, you will build a strong network and position our department as a leading point of contact for energy-efficient and sustainable construction.

You will take on the acquisition of new clients and projects and develop long-term partnerships – in close collaboration with internal departments and external partners. In doing so, you will actively shape the strategic direction of the department in the areas of building physics, energy, and sustainable construction.

As a leader, you contribute to the efficient coordination of appointments and resources and optimize the deployment planning of project staff. You also support project managers in internal project management and bring your experience to bear to successfully manage costs, deadlines, and quality.

Your team:

Our small but dedicated team currently consists of three specialists with expertise in building physics, energy consulting, and sustainable construction. We work interdisciplinary and with a high degree of personal responsibility on innovative projects that make a real contribution to the sustainable development of the built environment. The strategic importance of our area within the company offers you the opportunity to actively shape and further develop the team and our services.

Your profile:

You have a completed education in environmental engineering, energy engineering, building physics/acoustics, or a comparable qualification.

Your solid expertise in the areas of building physics, acoustics, energy efficiency, and sustainable construction forms the basis of your work. With at least five years of experience in leading teams or departments, you bring the necessary leadership skills. Thanks to your broad network in the construction and real estate industry in German-speaking Switzerland, you are well connected. You think entrepreneurially, work engaged, independently, and goal-oriented. Your confident demeanor and persuasive communication enable you to inspire different stakeholders for common goals. You grasp new concepts quickly and easily.

In addition, you have very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as negotiation-level English skills; French skills are an advantage.
