Your tasks

As a specialist in all work related to the electrical network, you are responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of cables and overhead lines, switching and transformer stations, as well as public lighting. Whether in the city or the countryside, you are almost daily out in the field working outdoors, summer and winter alike. This way, you discover the entire world of electrical energy and can dare to explore new paths. Despite the technical tools at your disposal, you often get hands-on and independently find solutions to problems. To minimise the risks associated with your demanding activity, you learn to handle tools and machines safely.

Whether in a trench or on a pylon: as a network electrician, you mostly work as part of a team. Good collaboration and mutual trust are therefore essential.

Your profile

• Secondary school leaving certificate with good skills in mathematics
• Good technical aptitude and German language level of at least B2 at the start of training
• Enjoyment of manual work and outdoor activities
• Reliable and enjoys working in a team
