Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced specialist as Project Engineer Pipeline Construction / District Heating for the planning and realisation of future-oriented energy infrastructure. You will develop demanding district heating, heat network, and pipeline projects from the concept phase through design and tendering to implementation. The focus is on the technical design and optimisation of pipeline systems in steel and plastic, pipeline statics as well as hydraulic and constructive issues. You will also take responsibility in project management and construction supervision, thereby making a direct contribution to the expansion of sustainable heat supply networks.
Responsibilities:
Planning and design of district heating, heat network, and pipeline projects from feasibility study to realisation
Technical design and optimisation of pipeline networks considering routing, dimensioning, and operational requirements
Execution and assessment of pipeline statics and stress calculations for buried and exposed pipeline systems
Use of calculation software such as ROHR2 or sisKMR for static and constructive design
Planning of pipeline systems and components in steel and plastic including fittings, fixed points, expansion compensation, and connections
Preparation of preliminary, construction, and execution projects as well as technical calculations, plans, and project documentation
Creation of tenders, specifications, and technical descriptions for pipeline and plant construction
Coordination of clients, energy suppliers, authorities, specialist planners, suppliers, and contractors
Responsibility for cost, schedule, and quality control within assigned projects
Technical support of construction supervision, assembly, inspections, approvals, and commissioning
Technical optimisation of existing and new district heating and energy infrastructures regarding operational safety, economic efficiency, and service life
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a civil engineer FH/ETH at bachelor or master level or comparable engineering qualification
Several years of professional experience in Switzerland in pipeline construction, district heating construction, or general infrastructure construction
Solid knowledge in planning and design of district heating and pipeline systems
Practical experience with pipeline statics and calculation programs such as ROHR2 or sisKMR
Knowledge in pipeline and plant construction with steel and plastic systems as well as in tendering and submission
Experience in project management and/or construction management of demanding infrastructure projects
Very good German language skills for technical documentation, tenders, and project coordination
