About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatient and 90,000 outpatient patients. In addition, we are an important training centre in the canton.
For the Clinic for Internal Medicine of the Cantonal Hospital, we are looking for an assistant physician from the end of 2028 / beginning of 2029.
We are a Category A training clinic for General Internal Medicine. Annually, 3,500 inpatients are cared for on the general internal medicine wards and as many outpatient emergencies on the interdisciplinary emergency ward. The medical team comprises 13 senior physicians, 5 consultants and 21 assistant physicians. Our professional focuses are General Internal Medicine, Acute Geriatrics, Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Angiology, Pneumology, Haematology, Endocrinology, Dermatology (consultative) and Emergency Medicine. Deployment areas for our assistant physicians include the general internal medicine wards, acute geriatrics, the emergency ward and cardiopulmonary functional diagnostics as well as the intensive care unit and the dialysis unit.

What You Bring to Us
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written (minimum requirement level C1)
- Professional and social competence in dealing with patients and relatives
- Commitment and enthusiasm in a clinically interdisciplinary oriented activity
- Sense of responsibility, initiative, teamwork, resilience and independence
- Swiss medical diploma or equivalent MEBEKO recognition
